About the school: Williamson High is a school where stars are born and champions are made. The school has a rich tradition in the areas of athletics, having won numerous state championships in football, basketball, and track & field. The school is known as a pipeline to the NFL by sending eleven former student athletes to play football professionally.

WHS has been in the education business since 1916. Williamson is the only 6-12 School in MCPSS. It  was named as a CLAS School of Distinction in 2020. The school's Signature Academies of Maritime, Engineering and Entrepreneurship are the focus of our college and career readiness curriculum.

Notable graduates: Lonnie Johnson (scientist and inventor of the Super Soaker), Alabama State Senator Vivian Davis Figures, and John Mitchell (n athlete, coach and pioneer in breaking racial barriers in college and the NFL).
