About the school: The Mission of Elizabeth Fonde Elementary School is to develop confident, respectful, academically successful students who are working to their highest potential in a caring, supportive environment, headed by a competent staff.

Elizabeth Fonde Elementary School is the only school in the Mobile County Public School System that follows a year-round school calendar. Our year-round calendar allows more frequent breaks, reduces the threat posed by the summer slide to help combat learning loss, and provides learning opportunities throughout the entire year. 

Fonde Elementary maintains a positive climate and culture for students and staff. Inspired by The Ron Clark Academy House System, every student and staff member belongs to a specific family; yet, we're all one big “Fonde Family."  Our family system helps build character, relationships, and school spirit. Families are awarded weekly and quarterly incentives for outstanding achievement and behavior.

Fonde Elementary is a STEM Demonstration Lab. Our Makerspace and Fab Lab provides students the skills they need to thrive in their future careers, from technical skills to critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, communication, and collaboration.

 Elizabeth Fonde Elementary's community maintains high expectations for academic excellence for all students. Teachers, staff, parents, and students partner together to foster an environment in which students are excited to learn and work to their full potential.

We challenge and inspire our students to become critical thinkers and problem solvers, who can work both independently and collaboratively.
