About the school: Davidson is consistently the top performing school academically in Mobile County, and one of the top in Alabama. We have led the district with the highest average ACT score for nearly a decade. We have two top academic programs: International Baccalaureate (IB) and Engineering Pathways Integrated Curriculum (EPIC) that are very successful.
We are also the most diverse school in the district with a large ESL population representing over 30 nationalities.
Eleven of our faculty are National Board Certified Teachers, and several more are currently working toward this goal.
Davidson High School's primary function is to ensure that all students acquire both the knowledge and the skills necessary to become responsible, contributing, democratic American global citizens. We offer a challenging, relevant curriculum, taught by a qualified and caring faculty working in collaboration to help students succeed.
Our goals can best be accomplished in a positive school atmosphere characterized by high expectations, attractive and comfortable surroundings, and the support of our parents and community.
