About the school: The focus of the faculty and staff at George Hall Elementary is on building relationships with peers, students, and caregivers. Individual student needs are always at the forefront of our minds in an effort to increase student success.

Our calm spaces, food pantry, weekly food bags, uniform closet, and individual classroom care closets all exemplify the school's endeavor of meeting student needs. We also have a Zen Den for teachers to relax and recharge during their planning time. The environment at George Hall Elementary emphasizes self-care for all.

Although we have a strong focus on academics, we know the importance of Maslow before Bloom. In 2019-2020 George Hall Elementary was the recipient of the Adopt-A-School grant through the Junior League of Mobile. Through this relationship we have worked collaboratively with the JLM and other community partners to meet the needs of our students.

We value collaboration and working as a team to meet our goals. At George Hall Elementary, we believe all students can learn. Our goal is to provide a just-right environment to meet each student's academic needs by implementing targeted intervention and enrichment. To meet the needs of our students, our teachers receive specialized professional development for trauma-informed teaching practices. We believe it is important for teachers to know the students they teach as well as the subjects they teach.
