About the school: O'Rourke Elementary has a diverse population. We have received recognition from the Council for Leaders in Alabama Schools, iReady, the Alabama Reading Initiative, and Mobile County Public Schools.  Although we are a large school, we are family-oriented.

At O'Rourke, we strongly believe in shared leadership.  Therefore, teamwork and collaboration are key to our success.  In addition, we believe in educating the whole child and provide a variety of activities to ensure all students have an opportunity to share their talents.
